Va Beach v20 project

I get all my glass and resin from Eastern Burlap in Norfolk. They are awesome!!! Its one of them places you go into and not feel uncomfortable. I ask alot of questions when I go in there and they answer them like there your buddy. They were at the boat show this weekend and I talked to them for about an hour, there just a great group of guys.

It's gonna be a single lever with seperate trim and tilt switch. I will have only a single rpm gauge, all other gauges on this boat to me are useless( I will have a audible over heat alarm). The lever is a top mount and will be placed on the right handside of the wheel. I'm still deciding weather I'm gonna build an electronics box for the t-top or mount them to the console.

Doing some more dry fitting today. Set up the steering and binnacle. Fine tuned and routered starboard hatch cover. Just a little to damp for me to lay glass today.

So I decided that I've built everything else on this boat then why not build my own switch panel. Well here it is,made out of aluminum its gonna primed with aluminum primer and epoxy primed and then finish painted white. I also cut the hole out for my tach gauge

Here's how my console will be setup unless I make an electronics box for the t-top. I prefer to keep all electronics close to the power source for maintenance and wiring purposes.

Smart move. Speaking from experience, I can tell you that snaking wires thru the pipe to the T top is a real pain, especially if you do it a few at a time as you add electronics. Your panel looks awesome. Nice job Kracker.

Normally I lean toward flush mounting electronics...but I REALLY LIKE the way that sets up!!...and yer switch panel's ROCKIN'...

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I told myself in the beggining this boat was gonna based off simplicity and function with minimal creature comforts. I bought all 6 of my switches on eBay for 8 dollars delivered to my door.
