Hammer's transom Rebuild

Gonna fill in some gaps where the transom wood meets the hull, a little more grinding. Cant do much more, out of resin. :-/
Getting off the gray primer is a pain, hoping to sand blast out next week. Also want to replace teh battery tray, its soft as well.

What no new pics? :D I guess we all rested on Sunday, I spent the day with the kids in the pool and plotting in my head just how I want the boat to look when I'm done.

No rest for HAmmer. Yes, I did more work on the V today.

Scuffed the wood up with the grinder, grinded some more gray paint off, filled in the gaps along the side, then tossed in my first piece of cloth. She's starting to come together. ;D

Added in the free cloth I picked up at the boat yard. Most heaviest cloth you can get.

Doesnt look pretty using scrap cloth, but I cant complain, its for free. Helps out on the gallon of West System I bought today.  :-[

Along the edges I used the West System 404 filler. All the gaps are filled and she's tight.

Hoping to lay in some more cloth before I go in to work on Monday night. Like to get one complete first coat on.
Lefty says Hello to all. ;)

I'm dreading the real work, when the cap goes back on and filling in the seem as if it was never cut. I see alot of cloth, filler, sanding...and some cursing involved. ;D

looks great hammer. I had to replace my whole deck from the fish box forward and was worried about how the finished deck would look. it looks great, you can't tell where the seam is. it will come together for you.

Hey Phat, did you repaint the floor to hide your work ?
Plan on cutting a portion of te deck out and figured on repainting the deck with a textured paint to hide the seam where I cut.

Not much done today, gotta work tonight. Snuck down for about an hour, ruffed up the cloth for its second coat and did alittle grinding on the stringers, trying to get off that gray paint.
