THEFERMANATOR
God
I sure hope she gets rehired. A week and a half ago she was told there was no chance of her contract getting re-upped, then she was told a week later taht 2 of the 3 social studies positions that they had just cut would be getting re-upped(one teacher left to go do her masters, and the other 2 were temp contracts). So it's her and the other teacher that were on temp contracts going for this position, but the other guy is trying to relocate to another county. Her main hurdle is all of the teachers that were just laid off down here, over 500 were let go in our county, 1100 in the county directly to the southwest of us, and the county just south of us said they were going to have to let over 700 go but over 400 filed for retirement so who knows. It's nothing but politics though as all of the positions have to be rehired back due to state class size amendments. There just trying to have a bunch of teachers on temp contracts so they can't get tenure or full benefits.
Hopefully we'll find out this week as the application deadline is tommorrow. And she needs to go see her grandmother in Tom's River as she isn't doing well. And it just so happens I'm pushing for the get together time frame to go
