'73 steplift stringer height

Anyone know off hand what the stringer height is on a 73 steplift? Looking at a new fuel tank, haven't removed deck yet so can't measure just yet.

Appreciate it!

My 78 center console stringers are 11” at tank but tank is a belly shape. My tank was pitted so I’m having one made now. Original was 60”x 26” x 11”.60gal. New one is 62 x 30” x 12” 80 gal.

First let me very clear. What you are doing is WAY above my pay scale. But ( there is always a but) I would remove the deck first and see for myself the fuel tank and the stringers myself then I would go with that. I’m 99 percent sure our fellow wellcraft friends know what they are talking about but I would see for myself. When you see it then you know 100 percent sure. 👍
Who knows ,maybe back in 73 they had an extra tank and threw it in and it’s a different configuration.

Just a thought, not knowing your model, but if I were removing my deck and mine isn’t self bailing, I’d explore raising the stringers and deck to make it self bailing. I’d keep my primary and backup bilge pumps, but I’d like to be able to hose the fish blood and things overboard without them going through the pumps and leaving residue in the bilge.

I just checked the 73 brochure, looks like the 73 had saddle tanks. You shouldn’t have to cut any deck to see the tank cavity below deck. Just undo the screws on the cover. That was on a cuddy, not a center console. Like Scook said, looks like that hull drains to bilge. At least I did not see any drain holes on the side of the hull in the pictures.

You sure of the year of the hull?
