    fuel lines

for peace of mind, and ethanol related issues, I replaced EVERY rubber hose/line on the boat today and all stainless steel clamps. Changed all filters, plugs and FINALLY sleeved all the lines into a new shop vac hose. I did not want to cut the hose down the middle [which of course would be a lot...

    gettin' ready

pulled the cover and dismantled the winter frame today. Batteries were already freshly charged, hooked up the hose and fired her up. Like MJ mentioned in another post last week, I don't think the flywheel spun more than two revs and she was running. Then it stalled after 15-20 seconds, gave the...

    first report of 07

nothing major, but I had the pleasure of fishing my friends 2360 SailfishCC w/ twin 115 yammy4s. Nice boat. There are bunker [menheden] so thick around here, the likes of which I haven't seen in years. Not only could you step outta the boat and walk on them , you could STAND on them. Anyway we...

    new prop, what a difference!

ok it's not about the v-20, but I did put a newer prop on my tin boat. It's a 15' Duranautic semi-v 1966 vintage. It has a good little V, nice gunnel height and probably weighs only 250lbs. dry.Mounted on the transom is a 1985 35hp Evinrude that had a 10" diam. x 9 pitch...out of the hole like a...

    N.E. Fisherman

our days are numbered fellas. The bass fall run started out o.k.,now there is not much going on. Montauk has been slow the last 2 1/2 weeks, lotsa scoolies around but it seems as if the larger fish are gone or few and far between. Our water temps are still up, 55*-57*, so who da hell knows...

TheTinMan and I braved the drizzle, downpours and a couple of little "microbursts" and put a couple of fluke in the boat. No records broken, the keeper/ throughback ratio was about equal biggest one 3 plus pounds. Had to work for them,5AM-3PM....got home started washing the boat, the sun comes...

    carb. rebuild

my motor,150 Johnson oceanrunner, started to run a bit rough toward the end of last season. This was only at a troll speed,in fact it stalled a couple of times. Higher speeds and WOT it's fine.Does anybody know the ins and outs or a couple of good pointers before I proceed. My brother used to be...

    rod box inserts

I had tried an Email and phone call to Flounderpounder to inquire about new boxes, 3 days later, no responce, must be real busy. My original boxes weren't in to bad a shape so I decided to give it a go w/ the repair. Typical cracks where the mounting screws are, discolored, and sorta flimsy by...

    TEAK QUESTIONS/INPUT

I have started the unholy task of redoing all the teak. Doesn't look like there is a lot of it while its all mounted, but , when its all disassembled and spread out on the workbench there is a decent amount. I have sanded everything down to "new" wood and it's very smooth. Every piece is...

    ...a member a day....

I joined this forum on March 8th, 2005,roughly 300 days ago. I think I am member # 327 and today we just had member 627 join in, Tunaboyy. So that works out to roughly a member a day the last ten months. Hmmm, any more stupid mindless observations?

    shelters/temp. garages

I am strongly considering one of those heavy canvas type, round top, car/boat storage garages. I feel, for my needs, something like that would be perfect....no more covering and uncovering after each time out, no sun beating down on it, no rain/leaves and of course a great place to have it in...
