I have to tell you those boats are still good looking boats my 78 steplift was bought from the original owner too so im the secound owner and i will never sell her it fits my needs and its still beutiful to look at i love em

They are classic, great looking boats. I never plan on selling mine either. My 77 was the Boneshaker from a family in Virginia Beach. The father bought it new and sold it to his oldest son who sold it to his brother and a friend whom I bought it from .It had been sitting for aprox 5 years when I rescued it and rebuilt it. Im really glad I got a chance to own and enjoy such a fine vessel.

real boaters very rarely sell them they repower them
sometimes you do get someone to sell them but they regret it later
i was at my marina when i first bought her and this guy came over to me and ask me about it.he told me that he had one and sold it to by a 25 wellcraft and that he was sorry that he did. he might have said that to me to make me feel good but he did come over and we talked about my boat, how often does that happen
its a good boat and a very very good style
nice size good lines and it never looks outdated
i will goe over and look at other boats that are bigger but they dont have the fishing room that i have on mine

look at MULV boat pics its a 1979 thats almost 30years old and tell me is that a good looking boat by todays standarts or what i say yes
HEY YOU KNOW WHAT im going to start a survey and lets see how many of us sees a better looking boat than the steplift wellcraft c c included

Even if I hit the lottery (fat chance ::)), there'd still be a V-20 (or 21) in the fleet...I REELY like the CLASSIC boat lines and utility of these hulls and the openess of their cockpits...a perfect boat for chasin' stripers 8) ...

old but not wet

I have an original 1963 alim V-20 and know where a 63 or 64 alim V-16 is, both with no power right now

will try but I cant seem to figure this place out ,,my post replies keep dissapearing...frustrating as I dont know how this one made it

old but not wet

hope this makes it..I grew up learning how to ski in the everglades and biscaye bay behind our v20, it made a few bahmas trips, one of which we returned in the face of a hurricane, and camping trips to the keys out islands, and cross florida trips from st lucie to ft myers,,all with the original volvo b16 80hp/100outdrive! we were patient boaters back then..nav was dead reckoning compass/speed unless you had a 40lb airforce surplus tube type AM rdf,,we used to home in on WQAM 560 AM IN MIAMI. the 80 got tired in the late 70's and was pulled to resume life pushing a frugal houseboater aroud key west,,we filled the transom to repower with a 200hp/270volvo pkg, but sold the pkg and pushed the boat to the boatyard storage lot and it sat untill I moved it here about 5 years ago. wife/kids/work all conspired to keep it off the current project list,,having a running 65 seacraft 19 did not help,,it has 'glass saddle tanks,,a curved plastic windshield,,front hatch is original clear plexi,,no factory bowrail,, the ROCKET trailer needs help,,it is in line behind the ongoing restoration of dads 66 seacraft 19 and will be concurrent with my 65 formula junior unless dad sneeks his 74 seabird 23 supersport inbetween..These hulls were repoped around florida and became many things, the most enduring are the wellcrafts and dusky's..it was stretched and re-decked as a VEGA 21 with a molded in windshield frame,,it was an ANACAPRI,,CHRISCRAFT,,and a few more that escape me now,,I have seen it as a 23 footer,,all with slight style/mods to escape infringment....I kept this as it is the roomiest, driest, smoothest, shallow capable 20 footer to this day,,and growing up in the middle of it all I have been in more boats than your local dealer has on his lot!!! from row boats, hydrofoils, raceboats,to the flipper and pt 109 film boats,,,CHALLANGERS,CARYS,ULTRAS,FIBRAS,JAWS,PERFORMERS,DONZIS,MAGNUMS,NOVAS,S-22S,,dad took me to work with him summers and I could roam the bay or hang at the marina,,,it was a great time to be a MIAMI KID !!

Welcome to the site. I was brung up in Miami too. Played all over the bay in boats and my windsurfer. Stiltsville was my favorite nightime fishing spot. Norris cut is still my fav lobster hunting grounds. I live up near Stuart now but, wanna take the V down there and camp out on Boca Chica. I miss the bay awlful. I lived in key West thru the '70s but, Miami will always be my fav place.
