What's your winter " to do" list for the V ?

Nothing til it gets warmer, then wash and wax hull and take it in for the e tecs check up. Eggnog, beer, rum bourbon, all in moderation!

Replace floor

Last year I got the engine running great.

This year: New floor, new dash, rewire...

That should keep me busy.

Starting the floor tomorrow!

did a lot with the gunnels this year, now I'm thinking I should tackle that 30 year old transom....ooooh ...I went and said the T word!

no wiggle in it but the bottom where the transducers have been mounted over the years is definitely soggy.

thinking about cutting just enough of the cap to get at it and dig it out and fill it with Arjay.
problem is, once I cut, I have to paint to make it look good....project creep....

reality is I should skip a summer of fishing and become one of those old dudes who works on his boat all the time.

Don't do it man. If it ain't broke don't fix it. If the top of the transom is good just let it go. Unless you have somewhere indoors to work on it doing a transom outside during the winter would suck. It would be really bad to miss a season of fishing.

revise my statement about switching to Bourbon, its 80 degrees here today, were going back to beer and if it gets any warmer, I'm pulling the cover off the pool

Need to finish up a few small things, but those small things add up.

-Get my back to back lounge seat back from the upolstery man

-install hatch latches in my new hatch covers

-install nav lights, thinking about some shark eyes port and starboard

-see Spareparts pics of this Bertram 20 he's talking about with the new top his friend built and consider throwing more money down the hole

-think about installing I-command guages

-buy and install a garmin chartplotter/depth sounder and vhf radio

-install new teak trim in the cuddy

-put new trailer lights on to keep someone from crashing the etec

-think about how everyone who has trim tabs raves about how great they are and cringe when I think about drilling into my new virgin transom

-Take her out on the nice days!!

Bradford--

Do the I command gauge and get the chip for the gauge-I feel best insurance for that E-tec-it allows several more options on the gauge--trim tabs, fuel gauge etc--it allowed me to take several gauges out and put my 5" chartplotter in my dash.

I am rewiring after replacing the old glass fuse holder behind the dash with ato fuse panel with 15 power sources--can shorten my wire runs for accessories, maybe a new dash panel if I get carried away and got to figure out why my running lights are blowing the fuse. All running lights are led, but think it might be the new tilt up light on the radar arch--to tight going thru the top hole in the arch--oh well, did 4hat one to myself.

Maybe even work on the side storage boxes.

Welcome to the site Diver. We love boat porn here so if you have some pics of your boat we'd love to see them. But in all cases, welcome aboard.

Trip over the hull, been using the overturned hull to hide parts for my mud quad build.

The cap is on scaffolding right now. Using the cap to hang quad parts for paint.

And I have also been using the trailer for painting parts. Mounted the tongue jack onto the trailer rail and turnt it into a coil spring compressor.

I just replaced my shifter and new cables. My wife got me a 728 Himminbird last christmas, just got the GPS antenna to go with it, need to mount that. Planning on taking it out tomorrow morning to try again ta catch a striper or maybe a catfish.
