Attempting to be un-employed but that is not working out. Retired U.S. Army Marine Deck Officer (small ship captain) Currently hold 1600 ton Masters license with Master of Towing, I use it here and there to make a buck, but decided that doing the 28 days on and 14 days off thing was not for me, so currently I am working on a Navy research boat as Capt. for a defense contractor. Also manage a few yachts part time, includung a beautifull 2005 330 Express Grady White that constantly make me drool with desire. Nick

Whats up with that??
What you follow the fat lady at the circus with a shovel or what??

i do but not professionally. i am a long island railroad conductor and the northeast's own duke of fluke. father, husband, and killie drowner.

is that the best bait for fluke there??

I do almost all fluke here on the cape, commercially most of the time. We start with squid and end with fluke bellys here, I have tryed alot of stuff and this is the bet so far.

mj, its not that its the best bait but...

i cant bring myself to cut up a legal size fluke for strip.
now and again we use searobin strip.
we usually use live snapper or baby bunker.
these peruvian spearing are absolutely massive.
we have very strict bag limits here.
i have yet to see the fluke, big or small, that can resist a live killie.
i do LOVE to fish fluke on artificials.
we also use squid strip now and again but i dont usually stick with one bait. depends on where and when im fishing.
so when all else fails nobody says no to live killies.

(also you have to see the chicken dolphin go nuts for these things).

do i like what i do ? sure. would i rather hit the lottery and never work again ? YADAMRIGHT!!! i dont know, i just found it and added it to every post so far... i kinda like the expression on his face. kinda the opposite of the "have a nice day" face.
