Thought those price stickers stores put on items were hard to remove. Boy, was I wrong. The wellcraft decals have been on the boat for 29 years and never budged. Is there a simple way to remove them? Have been using a razor blade scraper. A slow process, plus it leaves all the glue on the hull.
Next question, where can I get new decals? Don't tell me that I was suppose to keep the old ones.

You can use a blow drier to warm them up and a plastic putty knife to scrape them - look on ebay for the decals

Look under links and then decals. I have not yet bought any, hope the site is good. Single edge rasor and laquer thinner for removal.

As has been siad, a hair dryer or a heat gun, but if you use a heat gun becareful not to over heat!!

After the sticker is off use lacqer thiner or goo gone.

Take a chainsaw and cut closely around stubborn decal...leaves no adhesive residue...repair fiberglass and gelcoat, then reapply decal from E-Bay...just

KIDDIN ;D ...

Hey, that's not a bad idea.

I could put my anchor through the hole left from removing the stickers with a chainsaw. ;) ;) ;D

I removed the decals from my V21 two years ago (there is a picture in my gallery - before and after). A hair drier and razor made it realy easy - though it does take some time.

allthe sign painter and vynil guys around here use oven cleaner or gasket remover, just spray on, wait till the sticker bubbles, scrap off with a palstic putty knife, and wash off, just don't let it dry out on you

its not that big of a deal, after you spray the decal, adn scrape it off, just hose it down and scrub it with a brush, i let some dry on my old boat, it didn't harm teh gel, just had a bear of a time getting the goo off

All decals and boot striping is gone, thanks to your good advice. Used a hair dryer then goof off. Found out if you parient ( no one of my virtures) and let the hair dryer do it's thing glue and all will peel right off. Thank all of you for your advice.
