Well it's official!!

Yea Dawg is a state of mind ;)

Gator good job man, I cannot imagine that year lift kept boat would have any real problem with a soft spot unless you are talking about one of the hatch covers, tank covers etc. You did good, I saw that one a few days after I put my down payment on my G3 and it bothered me for days, agonized over the reasons I sold my V and second guessed my self over and over. In the end it worked out, I did the right thing and a good guy got the Lake Norman V21
Congrats ;)

Yeah, where is this "soft spot"??

Love that mooring cover. If you want to sell it I know someone interested ;D

I would probably say that is a safe bet.... ;)

That is a safe bet! ;D 8)

I love to fish. I am fairly new up here to the seasonal fishing and stripers, looking forward to it though! I am from Florida so used to fish offshore mostly. Can't wait to get her out on the bay!

As for the soft spot, it's sort of in the middle of the rear area just in front of and under the bench seat in the rear. I suspect perhaps water could have gotten in either that rear deck plate or the recessed brackets which you screw that bench seat into. I think I will remove both and use maybe 4200 or 5200 on both of them just to prevent further intrusion.

I also need to seal up around the drain tubes in the motor well. I think some moisture may have entered there due to a gap in where the brass tube exits the transom. I removed the scuppers to replace them and some water seeped out of the bottom hole, but it seems dry now. So I'm letting it dry good this week and will epoxy that up this weekend and put on the new scuppers. The transom is solid as a rock, I can jump on the motor and get no flex, so hopefully it's just aorund those tubes. I guess I'll know more when I start drilling to mount a transducer. I figure the more I can do to prevent it now before using the better in the long run.

Thanks everyone and yes Blue should still be top dawg ;D ;D

Great Job Gator!!!! Sweet V! May you have many years of enjoyment with her!!!!! :D

I will. I am keeping it in dry dock right now so that cover isn't even going to be on it most of the time I don't think. I may use it, but not sure just yet if it's necessary inside the boatel.

It's new he had it made a few months ago I think.

congradulations! nice boat and at 8g's, not to bad.....did you take the hydrohoist as well? Good luck!

Thanks! No I did not want the hydrohoist lift. It was neat but I also assume there is a reson that I've never seen them around salt water. I can't see that scissor mechanism lasting too long but could be wrong.

And yes HAMMER I will clear the entire memory card to get some shots this weekend...maybe even some profgress of VHF install etc. ;D ;D
