I will get pic up later, I am so dead tired and in pain that I have to go lay down for a while.

MJ, you can't make a statement like that then sign off! We need the story!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll start things off and MJ can add his pics later.
We met at the ramp at Green Harbor at roughly 5:30 AM. got out of the harbor and prepared to make our 20 mile run out to the south west corner of Stellwagon Bank just off the tip of Provinctown.
Conditions were flat calm.

Wasn't long until we were into the fish. It took a topwater Sluggo

Mark was the reelman on this one. He and I worked the reels all day long. MJ was the wheel man to keep us on course and a steady speed. Kenny worked the leader on this fish. I harpooned it and bled it out in the water. Things were like a Chinese Fire Drill in the boat for a little bit with a couple of tangled lines coming in.

Lots of whales out there. I've never seen so many

Only allowed one fish per boat on HMS. we were back home by noon.
Great day. The boat ran well. Couple of fuel issues, but I don't think it's anything serious. It ran for 6 hours non-stop.
Thanks MJ

Not a whole lot more to tell. I think we could have boated another one if we had deep diving plugs at slack tide. I ain't complaining though.
I guess another amazing point to add is that the motor ran continuously for six hours. 20 miles out. 20 back and a heck of a lot of trolling, and we only burned 28 gallons of gas.
Awesome day. Rest up buddy.
Thank you very much.:hi:

Your welcome hun!! :hide:

I just took some pain pills I won't be here much longer!

The fish was not sold by the way! We only had recreation lic. I got two 5 gal pals full of just meat!!

Yeah!! I just found this thread. way to go on the TUNA!!!

4 big guys, a full tank of fuel, gear, pushing that heavy tub with a top . . . 28 gallons is pretty darn good for that trip. Fill me in on the details tomorrow.

MJ - U still want a new motor?

nice job boys. Looks like it was a great adventure. Nice shot w/ the harpoon Chum. Hey mj, judging by other pics I've seen in the past, it looks as if you dropped a couple of lbs. as of late.

Thanks guys!!

It was a blast!! It was well worth it just to see all the wild life! At one point I had to put it in nutrual in mid troll. A mother whale and her calf was coming right for us, I say they dot with in 30 feet or so then sounded down.

BS the motor ran great with a few small issues, but we got back home so that's a good day!
Yes we used 28 gal of gas, with all are tuna gear and 4 guys (1000) and a 110 gal of fuel.
We were going 25 mph with ot any problems! That new prop made all the difference!

phester Chum stuck that tuna so hard, I had to cut the thing out when I got home to get it
As far as weight, I was 325 last spring, went down to 310 in july, then when I was sick in the hos. I went to 275. I am back to 290 right now, But now that I can exercise a little I am going to try to keep it off!

I got all the fish cut up into roasts, Thats all I had left in me today!! In the morning I am going to steak everything up and Vac Seal them all up. Be eatting Tuna all winter!

Kenny having a blast!! This is are first Tuna cleaning wow there is a lot of work!!
Seat of roast waiting to be steak !! We ended up with two 5 gal pals of meat!!

Now this is the kind of post I like to see--not that political stuff. Looks like a great day on the water. Glad to hear your motor ran pretty well for you MJ. In one of the pics it looks like it has the ox up on a plane and scooting along pretty well.

MJ, sorry to hear about all your pain. You look good in the pics though. Looks like you have lost a bit of weight. Hope you are back to 100% real soon.
