We are all getting close to the season...

I went to work this morning just on a hunch. Glad I did, as most of my peeps were an hour late today, or more ???

Got home around 11 and spent most of the day outside. Needed to wash the van and truck, but kept finding myself playing with the boats. Ran both on the hose, made a video with my camera...try to post tommorow.

I got a bunch of cleaning done, and the vehicles got done as well. Feeshing stuff is neatly piled in staging area as it prepares to head back onto the boat.

I bet most here did a little fiddling of their own today. Who worked on the boat?

I looked at the V today.

But today was a very special day, my littlest one turned 6.

Her name is Grace because God's Grace kept her alive when she was born.

My wife's water broke @ six months with Gracie, she spent 4 weeks in the hospital trying not to move and hooked to IV's to keep as much fluid around Grace as possible.

Then Gracie began having heartrate dips so they cut her out 8 weeks early.  She couldn't breath on her own and was a little over 3 pounds.  She spent 4 weeks in the NICU until she could breath and eat on her own.

Now she is a healthy, happy, beautiful little girl who is 6 years old today.

So I didn't mess with the boat today.

the things they can do today amaze me, 10 years ago she would have not made it and your wife would have been in jeapordy. God bless Grace and the Docs who made it possible, wish her a happy birthday from Willy.

And back to the post, I wish I was doiing that Air, will be a couple of weeks yet for me but looking forward to it.

Randleman, give our best Birthday wishes to Grace.  That is an amazing story.  I've a blessed man myself with kids 9 &11.  I have to keep reminding myself because the 11 yo is really trying to test me ;D

I fiddled with my boatie a little today. I put the connector on the new antenna and repaired my mic.

RB, that is a great story! You and she are truly blessed. My wife and I are in the process of adopting an 8 1/2 year old girl. She has lived with us for about 6 months now. She has adapted well, but there are a few socializing issues that need attention. But all in all, she is a great kid, and daddy's little girl (although I can't get her to help me work on the boat?).

No kids at my house unless we borrow them from somebody.  No boat for another week or so.  The weather was phenomenal here on the Northern CA coast today so I fiddled in the greenhouse (this year's tomato plants are 5" tall already).  Also spent time trapping gophers while wearing shorts, sandals and a t-shirt for the first time this season.  I hate gophers and I set a personal record today by sending 5 of 'em to meet their maker in one day.

Not sure what to do with the carcasses.  I usually leave 'em out for the raccoons and skunks but I'm thinking of mailing them to PETA so they'll get a proper burial.
