Va Beach v20 project

Looking good Kracker! I really like the rail. Good thing on the relief cuts without them its possible to pull the boat to fit the wood rather than vice versa, and that is not good. Dont forget you can always come work on mine. :hide: I cannot wait to see yours done.

Kracker, I just had an idea. How about extending your gunnel cap 3" past the outside of the hull with a 2" downward carling? Like the Carolina Skiff and the big Cape Horns. Should help with spray and give you more piling protection.

Here's one from lastweekend when I was dry fitting and fine tuning the cap ply.

Kracker, the more I stare at your pictures, themore I want it! You are getting me motivated to get my sons V project going again!!

Drag, its been a long itchy road to get her to this point. And I still have a long way to go. But its gonna be a cool boat.

She is coming out great we had our first frost up here looks like 4 weeks of Indian summer in store for us up here in MI.

With the budget are you going to paint her or Gel coat her?
I am getting my Epoxy Primer today we will see how it goes.

Nice work on the pictures KJ :pic:

"Your eat-up with that boat aren't you?" ROFLMAO at that comment your neighbor made a while back. Excellent fortitude to press on my good man.

Ridge,I'm just ready to get her done and get her wet!!!!! I'm motivated at this point so I'm gonna gonna take advantage of it. I took a break there for a while to move into new house which is good because I was getting burnt out on the boat. Now I'm ready for round 2!!!!!!

Looks like your in the home stretch, almost ready for Tuna Time!

Is it bad that I passed up a wreck fishing trip tomorrow to work on my boat? Even my buddy looked at me today and went "are you serious!!!!! You ain't ever passed up a fishing trip before"

Tomorrow I am going to build the last piece of inner rail which is the inner radias of the forward piece of cap. I'm gonna fabricate the rail in the morning then glass in the after noon.

I have also decided I'm going flush mount my fishfinder and chartplotter in the console. Meaning I have to build up a dash on top of my console. So I will be pondering around with that tomorrow.

get her done then there's plenty time to fish!! then they will want to go with you all the time!

I did a starboard thing for my flush mount, I know you must have a better way but its a idea, works for me.

I have the black plex glass for it but have not added it yet, it will have a bar going across it with a lock, keep honest people honest.
