V21 in Florida

i was being polite, you know I don't like them white motors. the boat is pretty nice though

I don't know now. I would stack a 150/175 carbed looper up against any YAMAHA or MERC for longevity and reliability. It may not be able to pass a fuel dock without stopping, but with minimal maintenance them engines have been known to run well past 5000 hours trouble free.

Disconnect the auto-oiler and run REAL GAS w/no alkeehol and I bet she'd run for a long time...

plastic carb bodies kill it for me, I've got a set soaking right now, warped to hell, the guy has had them rebuilt by two other mechanics who didn't understand proper screw torque. Those eagle series motors had a lot of graat ideas, shame they ruined it with the same old crappy oil injection, weak lower unit and plastic carbs. I love that those engines only have three different bolt size on the powerhead and use reusable o-rings. At least one engineer was earning his pay

I put lots of good hours on two different mid 90's 150 loopers without issues.

Ran great, trolled well too. Of course, now I'm spoiled with an etec.........
