I thought I'd give an update on my V20.
I started way, way too many projects at once, but now I'm refocused and prioritizing.
I lost my mind during the Covid lockdown, and was so stressed that I channelled all of my angst into an obsession of buying equipment piecemeal and planning projects for the V20.
I bought way too much stuff... and a lot of stuff that I don't even need... but hey, that's how I spent my lockdown! (what did you do?).
I upgraded to Raymarine electronics
-- 2 axiom+ 7" units and a remote keypad plus the "Real Vision 3D" sonar system. My radar arch and radar work well. I also got a VHF radio that receives AIS information and shares the data so that it can display on the chart plotter.
My live well pump works well with a 55 gallon plastic drum, and the bow pulpit I made with an anchor roller is also a win.
More to come, but it's getting there. I've also added front facing and rear facing spreader lights, and I redid the trailer to use bunk boards, with electro-hydraulic disc brakes and an electric powerwinch that I found for $100 on craig's list.
My next projects will be:
i) Hooking up the marine stereo system.
ii) Installing hydraulic steering
iii) Adding controls to the atlas jack plate I installed.
There's lots more after that too, but I'm pacing my work.
Here's a shot of the boat, and two shots of my 4Runner with some Tacoma towing mirrors that yesterday I adapted to mount on the 4Runner.

What a difference... I can actually see when backing up the boat trailer!
