I have a 1992 Evinrude V4 90hp outboard I have been working on for a school project. Just thinking 18-24" setback floatation bracket, would twin 90s be too much weight?

i know they did twin 70's on the transom, a pair of yamaha 90(2 stroke 3 cyl) would be neat. A pair of V4's would be around 550 lbs(?) so you're getting heavy. I'm still contemplating twin 200 2.4 Mercs on short standoff boxes, if you're going twins, might as well go big
I like Spare's idea about the Yammie 90s or 2.4 Mercs.
The Mercs for hotrodding, with the tank moved forward to mid ship, the windsheild removed, the front deck extended back with the helm moved back some too.
The Yamahas for light off shore trolling somewhere remote and tropical.
I believe a 78 or 79 model V20 would be good for twins due to the extra wide splash well.
