Trouble after new carburator

Following the advice given in previous threads I changed the truck carburator for a 2300 Holley 300 cfm marine carb. At the same time I changed the fuel line. Today I took the boat out and when accellerating it will "bogg down" after 2500 rpms. Can this be a fuel delivery problem? Should I test it again with the old fuel line and see if this improves the problem? All help is really appreciated. I am about to call a boat mechanic and I think that is going to be painful.

Here is a link to a video I shot while accellerating the boat. Sorry for the crummy shot but I was trying to shoot it and steer at the same time, You can actually hear the engine bogg down.

that sounds like its starving for fuel, try a portable gas tank hooked to the fuel pump first, rig up a fuel pressure guage plumbed between the pump and the carb(its OK to plumb it with rubber hose for test purposes). See if you are loosing fuel pressure when taking off. You should maintain at least 4 psi under load

its probably a 390 cfm, thats the standard 2bbl holley. thats what they run on top of the motors in nationwide series(formaly Busch series)
