Tides

For years I have used a website called saltwatertides dot com for the most accurate tide forecasts. It was very accurate and useful for precise locations. In fact, I used it just a few days ago. But this morning both my computer and my iphone are telling me it's potentially not safe. Something about a certificate expiring. So maybe it's time I put my phone's app capabilities to use. Would anyone like to recommend a good tide app? Preferably a freebie.

I've been using it also when I had my boat or when i went out with my friends on their boat - They were tide bound - So I was always checking the tide - But I haven't in years since I don't fish any longer - I just checked it out - Yeah you are right - Strange isn't it - A site for tides is a security risk

I don’t think an expired certificate necessarily means the site is unsafe. If you know a tech person, you might find out more, and checking back off and on, you might fin the certificate is renewed.

I use that too. Never had a problem with it

Not sure about iphones, but normally when a cert isn't there on a server you will get a warning when SSL is expired but also have the option to "continue to site" or something to that effect. I'm sure it was just the "IT department" lost track of the expiration date and had to scramble to renew it. It happens.
