TOMS RIVER — An Ocean County grand jury has charged a Little Egg Harbor man with burglarizing the home of a neighbor and stealing his fishing rods.
The grand jury on Tuesday handed up an indictment charging Kevin Hayek, 29, of West Brig Drive with burglary and theft.
The indictment alleges that Hayek on July 15 unlawfully entered a home on West Brig
Drive and removed a number of fishing rods and equipment, worth more than $500.
Hayek is in the Ocean County Jail, unable to post $30,000 bail. He would face up to
five years in prison on each of the charges, if he is convicted.
