Anyone got any Lipitor?

The most primitive form of cooking MJ. Very easy to learn. I always thought it was hard too before i started playing around with it.

Here in the NE we don't have a long outdoor season, but what do you think of the eletric smokers that you put wood in?? I know its not the same but what you think, Thanks

Electric smokers are fine. They even make some higher end ones that Id like to add to my arsenal one day.

Nothing wrong with going that route at all. Like I said its very easy to get started and learn how. Its a fun hobby because it obviously tastes great but you can start as simple as you want to and theres always room to move up by making your own rubs, sauces, etc. As long a you follow a few basic steps its hard to completely screw up.

Also check out this site MJ. Lots of good info for newbies as well as pros too.

I've got a small cabinet smoker I use, and I have considered adding an electric element to it to help maintain the heat. I've found that when I get the desired amount of smoke with the wood I like to use, it runs to cold. Figured I could ad a small element to it on a t-stat and just use the fire box for smoke and the element to maintain heat and temp to get a more even cook.
