holy mackerel andy that is a wellcraft if i ever saw one BUT the steplift is better check out how narrow it is in the stern they had to change something and the bow flare is smaller wouldnt you say
tamatoe tomotoe its the same thing they must have owned one at some time ill bet they did

steplift20, it happens all the time. Beyond agreements between the hull designer and various companies, once the patent (if there is one) runs out on a particular hull, there's not much stopping another company from making a mold from a "donor" hull and reproducing it under a different name. Even if there is a current patent, I think there are ways around that as well by tweaking the design a bit here and there even if it is minor. I also think the transom on that North Rip is exactly identical in dimensions to the V20. The inner liner is different as well as the coaming (or lack of) above the rub rail which gives the shearline a more pronounced look to it. Other than that, I don't see too many other differences. Well, that is unless you look at the price tag. They're asking well over $40K for some of these boats.
Look at how often the Seacraft hulls have been copied by various companies. I guess it should be a good testimonial to the quality of a good and timeless hull design. So take pride in your ownership of something special. ;)
