Great paperweight you got there,Tsubaki!!...CoMON,Maaan....wade on out in that creek and swap that puppy out!!...:hi:

You're getting 44 mph with a 150 Johnson.........wow, that's fast.
Most I know with 150 hp get high 30's to about 40mph.

Ended up repowering with a 2000 Johnson 150 Horse Looper and was surprised the numbers were only slightly better than the '84 Crossflow I had on it.

From what I remember about the '84, it would only do about 5100rpm with a 14x19ss prop, draw up to 22gph and do 43mph (1.95mpg).
The '00 will do the same (today way rough water and wind) rpm, with the same prop but draw a little over 18gph (2.32mpg).

(It would do 44mph at 5100rpm the other way down the river)
Here is the '00 at idle in neutral.

And at idle speed (3.38mpg).
jacob025.jpg

About 3900rpm and 30mph (2.71mpg).
jacob029.jpg

About 4200rpm and 37mph (2.63mpg).

Well, what do y'all think??
I'm gonna try a couple or few different props but have no complaint with what I've got so far.

ummmm, if yer complainin' I'll trade ya back....;) no worries :nut:
