Well, Phester, acetone is used to remove wax mold release residue from gelcoat...it'll probably get yours out too...sure cleaned the heck outta mine ...

Guess when the time comes, I'll buy a new insert for mine and tada, good as new! I added quite a bit of character on it already :-/ although I do try my very very best to keep it off docks and such.
