So I screwed up the ignition wires

And grace it depends on the years the motor and harness are. Not always will a color code repeat year to year but generally they will stay the same.

Roger that T. I think the article I posted or linked to has that disclaimer as well. I just thought it might help generally.

Also MJ the relay looking thing (if it's the overheat horn), the wire missing should be a tan colored one into the harness.

Grace it looks like the wire colors (for the most part) stay the same throughout most of the harnesses.
Some add or replace colors.
This is where it's important to know "what you had and what you got" on the boat.

Well I have been out side getting the boat ready for the water, but man has the wind picked up!!

I think I waiting for another day, as I was going by myself, and the ramp in the wind is crazy, I have no idea how this boat and trailer are so I will wait.

as for the wires, I did not see a p&w but i will look again when I go out side. My boat is in the sun and its 83* to hot for me

If it was 83 here I'd be bouncing around happy!!
Try not to get overheated, (I see why when it gets over 95* yankees (excuse me, northerners) die) ;D ;D

LOL!!!

I am also 328 pounds! thats like the bacon on the grill!!

Nothing like a fat guy that sweats! Look out! My kids just go the other way when they see a drop of sweat coming LOL

JESUS, I went from 140 (for 25 years) to 160 in 9 months , and was trying to figure out if it was the pounds or the age making me feel like crap!!

COULDN'T HELP MYSELF.
iT'S 85*, 65% HUMIDITY, (heat index 91*), winds 12 mph ENE.
AND FEELS LIKE LATE OCTOBERRRR.

so I was talking to BS tonight and found that like you guys said the p & W is choke on omc, but the i have a merc switch and have a yellow and black wire, and that is the choke on merc so I am going to hook it up this weekend and see what happens.

I did not know that I had the wrong switch till today ??? ;)

See if you can get a drawing on the switches positions as to what the terminals (or wires) are.
Compare "off", "start", "run" and "choke" to the drawings in this thread.
That merc switch may not be compatible.

everything seems to be working perfect!! Itys just the choke, and if the Y & B wire is the choke that should also work, I will let you know!! ::)

Been running a long time hammer, just need get the choke straight and will do tomorrow.

I was busy buying something special for the boat today, then needed a nap after working all night then driving for 3 hours to get my new item,

As stated above I now know that the Yellow with black tracer is choke, so I tested it with a tester and it lit up fine!

So I hooked it up and stil nothing??

I went back to the motor and looked around to find that the wire rotted off the selnoid.

I striped it back and told my son to push the key while I held the wire to the screw, I hear the choke click!
I added a new connector and screwed it on.

went up turn the key pushed choke just turned? I pushed the warm up leaver up a bit turned the key pushed the key for choke and Bam started right up!

Another problem soloved with the help of my V20 brothers!!

Thanks everyone!! And tusbaki for sticking in there with all the pictures and stuff!! ;)
