Skools . . . This one is for you.

I was actually looking at these earlier today. Great price. Although I already have a spare v8 powerhead on standby. The blocks and cranks alone are worth 300.00 a piece if there any good.

They are big thirsty monsters!

I saw one on a boat up near my house what a monster motor!! Had to be 6 foot tall :o

Make sure to buy a gas station for the boat with twin even a single one of them babys!

GULP GULP GULP!!! They can drink some gas QUICK! Somewhere around 30-35 GPH if you roll into the throttle hard. Not to mention those V8 SEA-DRIVES weigh in around 900 pounds EACH!!! A regular V8 JOHNNNY-RUDE weighs in the low 700 range, add in another 175 pounds for the sea-drive.

All:

I have a 250 V8 on a 246 CCP that ran 60 miles this past weekend and drank ONLY 47 gallons. When I get over a mile a gallon your know the sea were dead flat! Any kind of wave action and I run less slightly less than a mile per gallon! Now that's thirsty! I can tell from first hand experience there is nothing like the torque that engine makes when you put the coal to it. It can throw the boat on plane in nothing flat.
