Scuff Marks

Anybody have a trick for getting scuff marks off? I tried light buffing compound and an electric buffer and it didn't work, but I didn't get too aggressive.

You might try a green scott brite pad? But might have to sand it out, use like 600 wet sand paper and go to finer after that will work.

Get aggressive with the buffing compound IMO before you go to sanding. Some buffing compounds are really fine, more like a finishing polish. Try 3M Heavy Duty Buffing Compound it has grit. It is handy to have around, good on rust stains, oxidation, scuffs and the like. You can probably buff it out by hand. If you sand on it you will need the HD compound anyway to bring back the luster.

also could try some On/Off cleaner that stuff really gets the crap off!! But wear gloves and do not get on the trailer full strength, it will turn the galv black!

There are other posts about Mary Kate On/Off. That stuff is totally great...but you MUST use caution when using it.. Gloves, and goggles are a must, and only use it outdoors. (And like MJ said, don't let it hit Galvanized metal... it won't hurt it, but it turns it black...ditto with mag wheels)
