Rupert, how much?

I've thought about havin' a custom cover made of Sunbrella or similar...want it to snap on from top of windshield, snap along the gunwales back to the transom and then have a motor cover attached w/a draw-string...imagine it would need single support midship...whadda ya think?...

They are popular,There called cotpit covers .I'd need a few measurments.Like side to side and front to back.does the boat got studs around area were top is going to snap.or even better if you have an old old one for a pattern.a good pic will help.we have patterns for most whaler boats.we do all there government boats.

thank so much. Jean

Rupert, can you go into this site's GALLERY?...if so you can see the details you're after...want the snaps on the outsides of the "upturn" on top of the gunwale...those snaps will have to be added, no problem, I can do...problem might be snaps along sides and top of windshield (can't move as top snaps there)...can't figure out how you'll locate matching snap positions...look at those pics and I'll get the measurements...

Jean
I may be interested in the cockpit cover also - only for a sterndrive (no motor cover just straight across the back). Just looking for a ballpark price.

RP, I can move all my snaps on the windshield frame, And I know of another the same, both in the 70's

I'm also interested in a boat cover that goes from the windsheild to the transom - full transom i/o - if you give me some time I can take dig photos and measurements - just let me know what you need

Stinky, this is an easy to on/off cover that keeps INSIDE of boat clean, which is where MOST of my problems are anyway...

MJ...my snaps will move, but they don't move very easily...tuff slide...guess I need soma that Mystery oil suff... ;)...

If I get this cover done, gonna get one a those snap-popper thingies...takes the strain offa the fabric pullin' em off by hand...

Franco & Wise Guy...they can probably make your two alike...might save a buck or so... ;)...

reelapeelin.im not sure how to find your pics of the boat .and i will send you new stainless slider snap for the windshield. they just pop on.i can give you a price when i see the material usage.

Anybody looking for a price on a cover, to give a quote i need size of boat and area size tobe covered.

thank you. Rod

Rod, slider-snap sounds interesting...like to see pics or something...

Rough measurements are 13' x 7' and motor is 3' long x 2' wide x 2' high....needs to be a support "leg" in middle of cover

For boat pics, click on Gallery on opening page then click V20s, then click REELAPEELIN...sorry about the snow...gotta change those shots one day...

Oh, I thought it was a curtain or sumthin..

I just finished most of my new 12'wx24'Lx13' high shed for the baby this past weekend. Got to finish the roof...Its gonna be sweet. 8)

Kinda funny, I dont even have the hull finished or an outboard on it, but I am worried about it getting wet. ::)

reelapeelin, if the engine is a 150 honda i have pattern,no problem on that ,the cover with 1 adjustable pole is 255.00 and i recomend a seperate engine cover 85.00. total 340.00.all hardware included.

sunbrella canvas and all snaps studs stainless the pole is aluiminin. exstends 3 ft to 5 ft you may have to cut it.

thanks much Rod

Hey, Stinky...been thinkin' about a shed myself...did you put a floor in yours...did you build conventional (2 x 4s on 16" ctrs) type wall or get "creative"?... :D...

Rod, that's about what I's thinkin'...does that include the slide-snap on the windshield you refered to earlier?...and how does that work w/the sliding snaps that are there now?...

Question...why a seperate motor cover?...

Separate motor cover is the way to go!!

Just a real pain to have this growth hanging off the cover out to the motor! And then its not a tight fit on the boat side of the cover being stretched out there.

Separate cover will cover much better and seal all around.

Reelapeelin, yes i will supply all hardware , a seperate motor cover helps get a nice custom fit and get more life out of cover ,if you was doing full boat over all then i'd include engine.studs around windshild should pop off.somtimes they can be a bear.(each snap in windshield does it have like a 3/4 band holding to windshield frame?

I have a different question might be stupid, was wellcraft owed by rob shirley out of florida here at one time?

Thanks Rod

my question about seperate motor cover...if the boat cover doesn't fit snug against the motor and over the transom, then it's gonna get debris in the splashwell, which lessens the appeal of having a cover...you're right about the existing snaps...3/4" band snaps into frame and bear to move is good description...do you have picture of slide snaps you're talkin' about that you can post or e-mail?...thanks...RAP...

reelapeelin ,yes all hardware is included ,the windshield studs should pop off usually on with a tenshion clip about 3/4 wide that slides.and for that cover from windshield back it would fit better and last longer doing seperate covers.if it was getting a boat overall i'd recomend a complete doing engine included you can get a tight sinse drawing tight .the pole may need cut it come 36 and exstends to give the proper tenshion.
thanks.rod

OK, I got you about removing the exsiting snaps...that's what I DON'T wanna do as those snaps hold the front curtain in place from the top...hoping slide-snaps you refered to would work WITH existing snaps in place...
