Rod holder depth

I've got two Cannon manual downriggers for free. I would like to mount these to gimbal mounts. My question is how deep are the original factory rod holders. My options for purchasing these gimbal mounts are 9 or 12 inches. My boat is 50 miles away otherwise I go and measure myself. Anyone know the depth of the factory installed rod holers?

hey billy mac, if you have the same ones i do, they're about 8.5 inches.
i have the oval perko ones factory installed on the transom.
