Robalo full transom

Woohoooo!! We finished her up today!!! At least my part is finished anyways. He took it home to hook the motor up and put on some hardware and such. He is going to let all the 5200 set up for a few days and run it then. Maybe, if all goes right we will be fishing the snapper opener this weekend in it. If not we will use my boat.

Here are some pics. Controls and all not hooked up yet.

Here is an inside shot. We replaced some teak with starboard. The bottom is the really roomy 30 ish gallon live well.

The bilge area isn't quite finished up, we temporarily painted it with some urethane until he gets some more Durabak in for touch ups.

...and yes the inside plate is off a bit, its because the right "wing" on the bracket has a little bend downward. You can see it in the second pic. It was that way all along and Im not gonna try and bend stainless. :o

No worries, it works just the same. 8)

Im glad its done. My poor boat if feeling lonely. ;D

Looks great!!! Lots of room to fish in that boat! I thinks coaming pads would look and perform great in there. Great job! 8)

We ran the boat today folks and things went GREAT! We put in at Rabbit Creek and ran out to the bay and across it a couple miles before we came back in. I had to run so we couldn't stay too long.

She planed out great, ran faster and had a smoother ride as well.

Not to mention reduced engine noise! Its definitely the quietest two stroke Ive ever been on. :)

Before the top speed was 37 GPS and today we got it to 42 trimmed out. Everything is the same...GPS, motor, prop, RPMs, etc... 8)

We had no leaks and the bracket stayed dry inside. Even with the big live well in the floor full the motor and bracket height looked great from idling all the way to full speed and back again.

I was really amazed at how effortlessly the boat lopes along at 35-38 MPH. It doesn't sound like the big Merc is working hard at all. Its really sweet! I am ready to get her out in the Gulf this weekend for sure and put some miles on it so we can check fuel efficiency.   8)

That's pretty consistant with what I saw on the Ship Shape TV and the tests that they ran. Pretty work. Stinky, that merc looks a lot better on the bracket than you and your panties ;D.

Before I usew to yell to talk to people, now we talk normal!
