Restoration Stopped : (

Hi to all once again.. I have not been on the site in quite awhile but am back.

My restoration on my V20 has come to a complete halt.. It doesn't look like it will start back up anytime soon..

I have removed the old floor and have it ready to put back together. Have all the patterns for the floor and have some extras that I bought to put back in..

I would like to sell the boat and trailer. I do not have a motor on it.. I can send
some updated pictures if any one is interested in this project.. It has a different trailer under it which is better than the one posted..

I live in Tampa Fl so can deliver in a reasonable area.

Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated..

Thanks for any comments

Sorry to hear Roycie. It's hard to sell project boats for much money these days, ask me how I know. You might be better off parting her out to people on here, ebay, or (gasp) craigslist. I think I remember you having a brand new fuel tank, someone here eventually is gonna need that. Hatch covers, hardware, swim platforms etc all eventually are needed by some one. Your trailer will probably fetch more money without a boat on it honestly, or at least that's my experience.

Don't get too discouraged, the folks here are glad to help if they can, even if it's just free advice or comraderie.

Thanks for the encouragement always help.. I have thought about parting it out but breaks my heart knowing that it would be crushed in a landfill at some point...

Who knows maybe somebody will like the style and pick up..

Thanks again

Not to be the wet blanket here. I have one sitting in the pasture that I thought I was doing a solid by not allowing it to go to the landfill. That thought alone is repulsive to me. So it sits as a planter for the time being. Only a small oak I believe. Someone might decide to do something with her at some point. Meanwhile it is not eating any grass.. I did the right thing, err yeah! If it ever gets rebuilt it will be named 8k because that is what the repairs to my pick-up truck cost from going to get her. I will find a picture. photo.jpg This is the picture I have where fire rescue was called out due to my diesel truck fogging the highway. Flip phone so the picture sucks

There are many stories out there about good intentions... There are some great
restoration pictures on this site... So mine will sit with hope that someday her pictures will be here and someone (maybe even me) will be enjoying the legend once again.... But the do make a great planter..

Hmm...seems I remember something about that boat...best times of my life...sorry she didn't turn out for you...

Got and have had a few. Some are more worth hanging onto than others, but after 35 or so different boats since my first one 29 years ago I've only taken one to the landfill.

Yep took one to the dump watch as they crushed it to pieces and said I would never do that again... Am looking at a few places to put her and start working on her again.. So will be back and forth here to update the progress

:head:

My boat was a scratching post for about 15 cows in the middle of a pasture. I worked my butt off and did a entire ground up conversion restoration. Mine sat in that cow pasture for 10 years and is now a beautiful boat!
