It was a little dark when I snapped em, but that my Merc Revolution 4 17p prop that will be mounted Tuesday with any luck at all.

As long as you don't bring CB out on your boat you be fine!!
He loves to chew up other peoples props >:(

I figure I've probably just made more work for myself. I've been thinking that I could run mine a hole higher, so I can probably run this one up 2 holes. Now where did I put that hoist? ;D

I wouldn't move it til after ya run it ;) ...

Well, after working about a million hours over the weekend, my brain is fried. The good news? Tomorrow at Sunrise I'm going east, way, way, way, way, way east ;D

Just got home...gettin set to go load everything up for sunrise launch. Camera is already in boat ::)

After looking at this prop, it has massive blade area. Can't wait to see results. Full report coming tomorrow night or the next morning ;)

Weather forecast calling for no seas, wind 5mph :D

I've returned...posted fishing report with obligatory pics. Confirmed one of my suspicions...got to raide the motor for optimum performance. She still turns 5400 -5500 just as she did with the old prop. I can't make her break loose trimmed up, even turning, so she's runnin too deep. Overall I was very happy with new prop. Feeshin was good too ;D

I also run a four blade prop on my 150 merc. Why do you feel you need to raise your motor? One advantage I see is it won't cavitate when turning. I'm still turning good rpm's, better hole shot and on plane faster. I'm running 44.7 mph on gps and very happy with that number. You won't get a higher top end with a four blade prop as opposed to a three blade. What's your top end? Am I missing something?

Optimum motor height will give best mileage. If I can run 1.5" less gearcasr through the water, thats alot less drag.

Slot, I checked your gallery and you have a 20" transom (standard for 87 was 25"). Your boat may have been a special order. My 86 is 25" and I know the four blade helped my performance alot.
