Platform Brackets

I want to put the full teak platform that came with my boat back on, and am amazed at the prices for SS brackets.
I'm thinking about making brackets out of starboard.   Four 30-60-90 triangles basically.  Any thoughts from the experts out there?  MJ?

Thanks

Wise Guy, I think you're gonna be equally amazed at the price of Starboard :o ...maybe cause I bought so much of it when I's doin' mine, but it's not inexpensive...and the brackets you're talkin' about will need 1'' material I think...

...the GOOD NEWS about Starboard is labor or LACK of it !!...you can do it all yourself w/ woodworking tools...pre-jigged router makes a perfect cutting tool for intricate work and finishing edges... ;) 8)...

Yeah, I was wondering how thick of stock I could get it in. It is so nice to work with.

This is going to sound crazy, but I have used cutting board material as starboard before. Seems like the same stuff only not at 'marine' prices.

Yeah, I think it's pretty close to Starboard, just don't know about UV rating on cutting boards...I've used it too...

...I've never seen it, but hear it comes up to 3'' thick :D ...
