penn spinfisher v 7500

so i'm looking at this reel and i'm gonna pull the trigger but........
it's a $180 dollar reel. why is it on ebay for $130?
is it the same reel? are there different ones? is one guy getting $50 less for the same product?
thoughts.
comments.
insults.

no brick & mortar store, less overhead.
he stole it
doesn't really have it, just wants your money
not as greedy as first guy
i usually get stuff off of amazon, pay a little more, but not as much worries

this guy's on ebay. only one bad experience out of hundreds of deals on ebay. if it's the same reel, i cant see spending $50 more. i do like to support my local but the guy is like shopping at tiffany. he wants $200 for the same reel.

If its from Mgonz87 on ebay it's legit, I just bought one a few weeks back and it was $130.00 with shipping and it shipped quick. It came in an unopened factory sealed Penn box. I get all my reels and fishing line from ebay.

X2^

Things have changed on Ebay. You're pretty much covered unless you send check or moneyorder

Read it again. I think that's what Randleman was saying. I love Paypal anyways, not just for eBay, but because I can pay for things on lots of sites without having to re-enter my personal info and account numbers all the time. MUCH SAFER!!

As to the reel, I've found that you have to look at the ad on eBay carefully. New is not the same as "factory refurbished" and they have to tell you if it is. So even though something may come in a factory sealed box, it might not be "new". That's not to say that refurbished isn't good... in some cases it's even better, cause it's been hand inspected to make sure it's ok.

And yes, I get most of my rods, reels and line on eBay also. You simply can't beat the prices.

Bought that same reel last year & it turns out there are two or three model changes, I bought a used one for parts & dang if they didn't fit.

what bubba said! id get the numbers and run them through penn on there website if possible, or with a phone call. dont mean its not a good deal, but it might not be the current model

not to derail, but if you guys need any penn parts, contact half hitch tackle on panama city beach. ive never found a part they didn't have. many listed as obsolete or no longer stocking. also prices about half listed on the internet sites. helps a lot of you have the penn part #
