okay so since we are on this topic my 200 yammy only pushes my v about 43 on a calm day is that normal or is that on the slow side?
welcome to this fabulous site. I've learned a boatload on this site, and some of it was about the V-20. When we head out in the '74 with two fat adults, three or four teens, plus assorted chillerens below twelve, it takes our 115 a little while to get up on plane, and then, wot we'll move darn near 28 mph
(IFS--intermittently functional speedometer). That's enough to send the kids on the tube flying when we go round a corner. It's enough to rattle your fillings when you hit a ferry wake. And no matter what we do, we seem to burn two or 2.5 gals an hour. We swim, we fish, we putter around Woods Hole and nearby. But most of all, after being a sailor all my life, the V keeps my wife happy. That means more time on the Cape. We LOVE our V! okay so since we are on this topic my 200 yammy only pushes my v about 43 on a calm day is that normal or is that on the slow side?
