OFFICIAL 2nd ANNUAL FISHING TOURNEY

Air's waiting til the last second to fish ???

Trust me, I ain't weighed one yet, but I will fo sho'.

Things here are rather screwed up with work getting in the way, and the fishing ain't right. The water temp was 74.6 in the inlet Sunday after dark...and its almost freakin November :-/ Oh, well, the boat is full of fuel and oil, the tackle is ready, and some fish is gonna die just for this tourney ;D
 
Going black fishin today from 4 to 6 and then hopefully some stripers this weekend. Things dont look to good with the dirty water from the storms/swell and the short time frames, as Black fish have a early bed time :P they are usually lying on there sides with there eyes close before the sun even sets :-/

I read that at night you can basically swim right up to them and grab them by hand as they are motionless when the sun is down. That would be cool!!!

Well, I have caught some fish but Sean is out in front. I am not bothering to post the fish not even close to winning. We need to approach 50% of a record to win.....
 
Still a couple weeks left, and I have a feelin some of the southern boys have something up there sleaves ;) ;D
 
Leaving here today to go to Virginia and fish the chesapeake bay for the weekend. Looking for Stripers and whatever else wants to get weighed in ::) ;D

I will be back Sunday night with a report ;)

Oh yeah I will be trailering the V  4.5 hours. Cant wait >:(
 
It's still mid summer weather, no need for sleeves yet. IMO, thats why the fishing ain;t right. ;)

But we've still got some time, right ;D

Still a week left, and I bet someone (Air ;D) is sitting on a winning fish as we speek.
I havent had a good trip in a few weeks. Wind and swell almost everyday, and the days we have been getting out, the water was so dirty and churned up, you had to really work for a few fish.
I've actually been fishing for schoolie bass in the outflow of the salt pond behind my boat and having a BLAST ;D Using a ultra light set up and just drifting swimmers in the current. Watchin the fish just destroy anything that drifts/swimms by the whole/rock the are hidding in ;)
Hopefully the water cleans up and we can get back on track, but until then its just schoolies for me ;D
 
Air has no fish in the box, and for all intnets and purposes, is done for the tourney. Simply no time with all that I have on my plate at work :'( That said, I'm gonna go play with the schoolie rock Tuesday evening for a few hours. Maybe, just maybe, by dumb luck I'll stumble onto something scale worthy. In all reality, I'm going chasing 18" stripers on light tackle.

Air, I hear you, I'm addicted to fishing for schoolies, they are energatic little suckers ;D hey come right out of the water and slam the swimmer in about 6inches of water.
I just sit on the bridge by myself  and fish this current
