Now I know why!

Now I know why I haven't gone to the Detroit Boat Show in many years, the cost of the new boats are outragous. 20' CC angler W/150 Yamaha $40,000. 22 ' CC $61,000. The styling is European and I don't care for it. What I did find out is that whether you want a 150 E-Tec, Mercury 150 Optimax or Yamaha Vmax you can expect to start at $12500 or more. The econmy is so bad here is MI that the show was empty. No wait to get on any boat. Billy Mac ;D

Thats why I have a 1975 boat with a 1989 motor!!

They have taken all the fun out of everything!! >:(

Boating threw the roof!!

A simple thing like camping has gone nuts!! $3300 for the season and if you go seasonal you have to have a 10 year old camper or younger!

everyone see dollars signs!! ;D

I am in a seasonal camground and pay 2150 for May 1 to Sept 30.
Some people complain that it is not open all year,
but I like it, it forces me to stay home on weekends and get some work done.

The owners just implemented the ten year old rule,
but that is only for new campers coming in.
Mine is a 1974 model and as long as I can, I will patch and fix.

They were going to let the old campers stay if you were already seasonal, But then in the 11th hour they decided to change and make it that you had to replace it when ten years came up! >:(

Mine is a 1994 Holiday Rambler 30'

I don't think I have to worry about SBL becoming a theme park.
The owners like it just the way it is.

We like it too, they have a lot of rules, but it keeps the riff raff out.
Thye even have given gate passes to some of the state and local police,
the police come in and patrol from time to time.

The best part about the park is water access.
