NJ Grocery plastic bag ban …

Excellent because Americans litter and throw away about 100 BILLION plastic grocery bags per year just to take home groceries and throw away the bag.

Wasted oil, wasted energy, virtually non degradable and extremely harmful to our environment.

We switched to mostly using our own bags for all shopping and it’s fine.

Stopped at walmart on a duck hunting trip and they pulled out a paper bag. I said "wow, I havent seen one of those in 25 years!" But everything I bought was wrapped in plastic.

100% agree. It's putting the cart before the horse. Fix the generation problem or the packaging first.

Problem is, no one wants a nuke power plant in their back yard, and plastic packaging is one of the safest ways to store food for sale. (Cans are also safe)
