Finally some decent wellcraft fishing boats!!!

TWO HOT BOATS - Wellcraft in April unveiled two new boats in the company’s Fisherman series - the 200 LT Fisherman (top) and the 232 Fisherman. The 200 LT is trailerable and nimble enough for shallow backwaters, while the 232 is geared for rugged fishing, but with plenty of features, including two 155-quart fish boxes and a 116-quart lighted baitwell.

BS...thanx for the new boat info, but as long as boat mfgs insist on Euro-Styling their boats, I'm stayin' with my old squared-off V-20...Euro-Styling is paying for a 25' hull and getting 20' of useable space...then they moved the windshield on dual consoles back, so now there isn't room for two kids to shoot marbles, much less FISH!...I LIKE MY OLD V-20 and when I look at new boats and what designers are doin' to 'em these days, I like my old boat even more!! My wife and kids like it, too!

Reelapeelin, You are right on. I saw the bigger boat at the URI boat show and I have more cockpit in my V20.

Reelapeelin , you hit the nail in the head . I don't even care for the way the Euro's look , not to mention all the wasted space . I will stick with my V 20 until I win the lottery and step up to a 23' SeaCraft .

Who really does like the Euro look...be honest now as this is a scientific poll conducted in the highest levels of control and BS, BS, BS...just like the marketing studies that sent the entire industry off on the Euro BS Trail to begin with...GEEZ, that grinds my grits!...

Yeah . . . I agree . . . . the styling is totally unnecessary and there is lots of wasted fiberglass on those boats. I like the the recessed rails and I'm glad to see that they're making boats with some decent fish boxes 2 - 155quart boxes.

They're getting warmer . . . now just lose the bubble boat look and we're 1/2 of the way there.

I think most of us that fish from our boats are in agreement that the Euro transom styling sucks. The styling comes from the "fluff boat" crowd. It's getting harder to find a decent new fishing layout with a squared transom. They're still being made, but in fewer quantities. I like the loks of those new Wellcrafts, but like everyone else here is saying, fix the transom and gain an extra 2 feet of cockpit space.

I agree with y'all: I'm sticking with my V-20. It is solid and does what it's supposed to do -- and besides, I like the looks of it! Form follows function, right? If I hit the lotto, I'll get myself a downeast-style lobster yacht, but I'll probably keep the Pipe Dream anyway (I've got too much invested in her now! <grin>)

yeh they have def. gone down hill I like the old ones way better
