Title pretty much sums it up. I'm looking for options to change the seating around on my v20. I currently have the single seat directly infront of the center console and honestly I'm not even sure what its called ( its not really eveb a seat just a padded area avout as high as your lower back) to lean on while driving which I'm not a fan of.

This boat will primarily be used for fishing perch and walleye on lake erie and occasianally maybe some tubing or water skiing.

Most of the time there will be 2 or 3 people on her at a time occasionally 4-5.

I'm just looking for some ideas to change the seating so any ideas would be appreciated

Thanks

You didn't mention what year model which would be helpful...Sounds like you have a what's generally referred to as a Leaning Post behind your console...lots of CC owners want that, so you should be able to sell it if you remove it...many CCs are equipped w/two swivel pedistal seats instead of the leaning post...if you prefer to be seated while fishing, that'd be a way to do it...also, you can mount a cooler in front of the console w/a cushion on top and a leaning cushion on front of console...

Look thru our Gallery's Center Console Section...if it's ideas you seek, that's a good place to look...if it's doable, SOMEBODY'S done it...

The forward seating on my '78 is what sold me on the boat

Its a 1990

Also what I meant to ask is where is a good place to buy different types of seating.

What I'm imagining in my head right now would be some sort of bench seat with a cooler or storage underneath it to replace the leaning post.

Also possibly mounting some sort of single seat on the bow over the storage compartment

Hedge, you hit the nail on the head. Thanks.

If anyone else has any ideas let me hear them I wont be changing anything until the winter months.

Several flip/flop seats incorporate a removable ice chest for the base. Some you sit on the cushion on the cooler and some have upholstered covers where the cooler is underneath. Of the ones I have seen of this type they all incorporate some sort of aluminum/stainless frame and are kinda high end.
Century boats puts one in their bay boat that I like because the backrest has notches that allow the backrest to be fixed into position. It sits good and you can position the backrest forward if you want something to lean on while standing/driving. Tried to Google it to give you a link but no luck. Just got busy here, I'll try again later.
Draglink- That is the most desireable layout in a center console IMO. Very nice.

Id check into the flip flops....I had the seats in my 18 and HATED them..much better if my leaning post I built. however, I rarely sit while fishing all day long but I can see where perch and walleye fishing it could be usefull. I have a large "deck" of starboard on my leaning post that I sit on too though. Next to the built in livewell.

You should have no trouble unloading the leaning post though as they are very popular.
