My rant and rave today.

I know it’s not a wellcraft topic but I have to get these two rants off my chest.
First. I want my regular light bulbs back. These leds suck yeah they say they last 100 years. Sure they do. I’m lucky if I get two months out of these garbage lights.
Second. Rant. I just was watching a tv movie and the cars back in 5he day had glass headlights that never ever dulled. The glass lasted forever as long as you didn’t run into anything. The headlight plastic covers today on these $50,000 cars or trucks get foggy and you hav3 to hav3 then surfaced. Garbage. Give me my old last forever headlights.
I feel better now. Thanks for listening.

I hate new stuff. Ill keep putting money in my old vehicles.
But I like most led lights. The ones that look like old school bulbs normally don't last long.

My 2 cents are I like the cost savings for LED bulbs. If you buy the good ones and not the ones from Dollar General the last a long time. I might even live long enough to have them actually pay for themselves. LOL. I Do love the RED LED tail light for my trailers. Much brighter than incandescent bulbs and they don't crack and fail when dunked in cold water backing the trailer into the water while launching. As for the plastic covers, .... not much I can say.. About the only thing I can suggest it to coat the lenses with the ceramic coating that keeps them from getting foggy. We did my wife's Honda CR-V with it and they are still nice and clear. Her car is a 2016 and she puts 50 miles a day on it going to work and back

You might have something there, I do get some bulbs from the dollar tree,or is it the dollar twenty five tree but I also get them from Walmart and there brand maybe I should buy a different brand like a well known brand. I will give it a try. I just had my headlight covers restored on my 2018 Tundra with only 32 thousand miles. I just put carnuba wax on them but didn’t tell my wife. She yells at me to stop cleaning my truck that I’m going to mess up the finish. But you and me know she is wrong. Anyway thanks for the reply and for destroyer,, if I had my old cars ( and I wish I still had them) I would just keep then going. They were so much better. I’m with you destroyer. I meant Ostep. I’m with you. I think the heat is getting to me.
I’m going to post on fishing. Go check it out. I’m go8ng to do it now

If u use an old skool trouble light in garage, the light with the cage on it. The led bulbs work great. Dont get hot or blow up. Dont stink when oil drops on them.
And speaking of headlights. How many vehicles do you own that have the floor mounted high beam switch? I have 3. I hate the ones on turn signal switch.

I have a New rant. Why is it that all the pictures of big foot caught on camera are never crystal clear? Always fuzzy and distorted. I know people that take pictures on there phone and 5hey ar3 always crystal clear. But for some reason ,pictures of big foot are fuzzy , do you know why? I do cause it’s ( you can fill in the blank)

Hey Ostep your right I l8ke the switch on the floor. You press it and it goes on or off. Just a simple on/off switch. It’s been a while since I had that switch.

I had a ‘75 Ford F-250 that my dad bought new when he retired. Over the years we rebuilt the 390, and got the transmission and rear end done. It drank gas, but got the job done. I think I hauled about 10 tons of concrete demo, between truck and trailer to the dump once - it was wallowing - took back roads. Crank windows and floor high beam switch. Long ago, had some ‘60’s GMC pickups that also had the starter pedal on the floor - great old rigs.

Yes they were, today if your high beam switch breaks. Forget it they hav3 to take everything apart. Simple is better. I had a 1985 dodge ram charger with a 318 engine. Crank windows no A.C. Rubber on the the floors so it was easy to clean 4 wheel drive. That truck would pull a house. As basic as you can get. That was the best truck ever. You could sit in 5he engine compartment and work on the engine. Changing the plugs? 10 minutes that was a truck.
