my pontoon boat for a mckee craft?

A guy on craigslist wants to trade me his mckee craft for my 1986 20 foot pontoon boat with trailer, bimini top and 60 HP mariner. What should my negotiation be? He has a 1982 17 ft mckee craft center console with a 135hp evinrude with bottom machine, bimini top etc. I'm asking 2800.00 dollars for my boat. What should my trade offer be?

Depends on the condition of the two boats.

"An even swap ain't no swindle" if everyone is happy with the deal.

Make sure the McKee doesn't have logged foam.

I just sold my 14 Mckee for $2500, going price for a good 17 is about $4000 tops, most of the ones I've seen lately have been around $3500

As stated, depends on the conditions of each but it sounds like a pretty even trade to me.

Ask him to deliver the McKee and pick up the toon...save gas $$.

My tooner on a scale 1 to 10 is about a 7. Power trim and tilt stopped working and that's it she just shows her age due to the UV'S on the apolestry. She's a catfishing machine!!!!

this guy is dreaming, but something to compare to...

1977-78 17 1/2 foot McKee Craft.
No center console.
Outboard motor comes with it, but as far as I know it is not working.
Trailer is in excellent condition.
This is by far a project boat and is by no means water ready.
If the ad is still up, then the boat is still available.
