My new tow vehicle

I've wanted one for a while.. hemed and hawed over it... figured what the hell, you only live once..:head: (and besides, I'm worth it).

Looks very nice, whats the details? Used, new? Engine?

It's a 2002 with a 4.5L Aluminum V8, 95,400 miles on it. Automatic trans. Rated towing capacity is 5500lbs. Factory equipped Class 3 tow hitch. 15 MPG AWD w/a low range for sticky stuff. All leather seats, 2 sun roofs, front and rear A/C, power everything. PO only used Syntec oil in it from day one. Had all receipts, serviced every 3000 miles. Brakes were done 1700 miles ago. Disk brakes all around. CarFax came back negative. All in all a very nice vehicle for the money. It's a Land Rover.. very well made, tough truck...but repairs will be costly if/when needed. I know it, and that's what the heming and hawing was about.

(It's a trade off.. my Jeep Cherokee got hit 2 weeks ago by an idiot!!!! :cen: crossing over a double solid yellow line making an illegal left turn and hitting my vehicle in the slow lane of oncoming traffic.:bat: My damage was $2700 round numbers. So I could take that money and fix my Jeep (Left front fender, bumper, lights, etc.) ..or I could use the money towards a different vehicle. I decided to upgrade. I've fixed a large amount of the damage to the Jeep already, and I know that with winter coming on I can sell the Jeep easy for 2 grand as is....It's drivable and I'm using it for work everyday. So that's the plan. Meanwhile I get to ride in this totally awesome, super deluxe truck. Ahhhh...life is good. )

(and besides, I think the V will look great behind it)

OK Destroyer here's the plan, you hook up your V to the new chariot, and you drive me and RW down to Carolina for the rendezvous.
We will sip tea with our pinky finger pointed up the whole way down and relax in that leather living room of a vehicle you got there.
Make all them southern boys green with envy!

Don't forget the crumpets to go with the tea. Tea without crumpets is so unbecoming. :hide:

Hey D
Nothing against your sweet ride:

Willy
What could make us Carolina boys "green with envy" we already live in Carolina, don't get no better.
:sun::beer:

You got a point my friend, I stand corrected. I am still imprisoned in the Peoples Republic of NJ.

We do have a few things though. Some I will actually miss when I finally get the F2ck out of here. The women, the high paying jobs, the food. Actually a lot of the people. We just have to d@mn many of them.

Destroyer I will bring the crumpets

I'm ridin in the back with Willy. And to think you were gonna leave without me:fight:

Its funny most ppl love the state they live in except for the peeps from NJ, I love the state but hate the governing.... it is tho the highest paying state wage wise in the country. Willy dont forget your "Exit tax"when you leave.... I love that new one........

Ok, lets see... we have RW in the front, Willy and Lumber in the back, and tea and crumpets all the way there... Sounds like a plan. Next stop... Cowpens. (Where the h ell IS Cowpens???) :head: (There's enough room we could even put MJ in the back and drag him along with us too).

Destroyer Congrats! :sun: A Range Rover is a CAPABLE. VERSATILE and DESIRABLE all terrain vehicle. And we must never confuse elegance with snobbery. I want one!

See??? BuilderFL is obviously someone who really, truly understands....
it's not about the heated seats, or the heated mirrors, or the dual sun roofs, or the headlight washers, or any of the other elegant appointments, what it's really all about is the rated ability to pull a 7700 lb load up a launch ramp in low range and the built in automatic anti-sway control that flattens the road on a turn. Things like that.. :)

(Oh, and did I mention the built in tea cup holders front and rear and the little tables for the crumpets?)
