Sorry to hear About mom!!
This was my mothers card, and I hope its good for you as it was for me!

Don't Grieve for me,For now I am free:
I took his hands when I heard him call:
I turned my back and left it all.
If parting has left a void,Then fill it with remembered joy.
My life's been full, I savored much:
Good friends, good times,
A loved ones touch,A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss:
Ah yes, these things, I too will miss.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief:
Lift up your hearts and share with me:
God wanted me now,He set me free!

Sorry for you loss spare. I know all to well the feelings your are experiencing. My mom died in 2003 and my dad last year.

Awesome news for Kendall.

Give me a shout on one of your trips up here.

I spent some time with my father last weekend, way over due. I think he's going to be OK, its never going to be like it was, but I think he will adjust to it. My niece brought him a dog, a 4 year old boxer/pointer mix. She does dog adoptions and once a week she goes by the dog pound and tries to get a dog a foster home. So far, the dog is working out pretty good. I'm staying home this weekend to get caught up on some work, but plan to meet my father at his place in Sneeds Ferry, NC(behind N Topsail Island) next weekend, I've got to get his well boat back up and running, probably mow the grass and work on the dock a bit as well. We've been thankful with the report on Kendall, be we have been saddened to find out our friend Eric is not doing well, he had a stroke earlier this week and they've taken him off all chemo and treatment, it doesn't look to good right now. Visit is page below to find out more

Keep being the strength of your friends and family my friend, someone from above is watching. He never forgets.

Business as usual with Kendall, shes doing good, still has some complications but overall doing very good.

And to add to the list, my sister was diagnosed with cancer last week, she starts chemo in two weeks

Not much anyone can say Spare. Horrible news about your sister. Very sorry to hear it and of course and will include her in my nightly list of prayers for people from this site.

GREAT news about Kendall!!!!! I still cannot imagine what it's like to have a child diagnosed with cancer, and pray I never will. But it gives me such great hope everytime I hear of her and her story.

Wow, been a while since I posted anything on this thread. Kendall has been doing good, no major issues or reoccurence since she finished chemo 8 years ago. She still goes to therapy twice a week and will probably have to have a rod put in her spine soon to correct the curvature as a result of her surgery. She just started high school this past week just to let you guys know how long you've been following this thread. Weve got a fishing tournament coming up next week and will be hunting this fall. I'll post up some pics when I get time

OMG 8 years already???? WOW Tempus Fugit!!! So very happy she's doing good. To anyone that doubts the power of prayer, she's living proof. :clap:Good luck in the tournament.

Good report, spare. Can t believe high school. Get ready for the fun of a teenage daughter.
Good luck in the tournament!!

My oldest, Kaylee just started college, shes going to Winthrop in Rock Hill, studying to be a pediatric physical therapist, as there were none in our area when Kendall needed one, Kaylee was 8 at the time and made her mind up then as what she wanted to be. I could not be any more prouder of her

It’s hard to believe it’s been 8 years - my wife and I prayed long and hard for her and you guys. It’s great to hear that she’s doing well and getting out with Pop for some hunting and fishing. Kids never forget those times and the relationship you build is money in the bank during adolescence and for the rest of your lives.
