Kendall

Its been a while since I've updated this thread. Since the last time we've all had a lot going on. In case ya'll didn't know the company I worked for closed the SC office, since then I have gone in business for my self(qualitymarineservice@yahoo.com). My wife has been recovering well( if you didn't know she was diagnosed with breast cancer last September), following a double masectomy and chemo, all test show her to be clear. I have been busier than ever with my new business. We just finished up Kendall's fourth chemo cycle, and got the results from the MRI yesterday, it showed significant reduction in the size of the tumer. This is the biggest news we've had since they found the tumer(and the most positive). Previous scans showed the tumer to be 15 mm X 5 mm, its now at 9mm X 4mm. We really feel like we are getting somewhere now( praise be). Kendall is going to camp "happy days' (along with her sister) in two weeks for week of being a regular 4 year old. In case any of y'all are interested in more info on some great people, doing some great things, check the links below.

Every bit of of positive there is feels like weight being lifted I am sure.
My prayers to you and your family. Good luck with the new buisness Spare.

Great News David, sounds like everybody around your place is getting along great now. Good news all around for them. I know you must have let out a big breath after hearing the good news about the daughter and wife.

Thinking of You

Thanks for the update, Spare. I read caringbridge updates all this past year. I think of you more than you might guess. Keep your stick on the ice.
Dave.

We just picked up the girls yesterday from "Camp Happy Days" held at Camp Bob Cooper on Lake Moultrie. Camp Happy Days is a one week camp for kids with cancer and their siblings. The girls had a great time, they went tubing, parasailing(yes, my 5 year old went parasailing), canoeing, climbing wall, and more crafts than we have space for hear at the house. Check out the pics my wife just posted on the caring bridge site. And everyone check out "Camp Happy Days" site

well i guess I jinxed myself for mentioning MUSC in the otehr thread, woek up this mornign to Kendall with a high fever and unable to use her left leg, so its off to the hospital for the day. As she is a chemo paitent, anytime a fever gets over 101 you go directly to the hospital. they ran a battery of test and a MRI, they still don't know what wrong, but her feer started breaking about two hours ago. I just got home about 30 min ago, called my wife(she stayed at the hospital withy Kendall, I'm here at the house with Kaylee), she tells me they are moving them to another room since they are testing her for the flu. My wife has been on bed rest since an emergency Hysterectimy three weeks ago, so go figure, the best place for her to rest is at the hospital with Kendall. I'm spending the day tomorrow with them, another weekend shot all to he11. I don't ask much out of life, I just want to go 30 days without someone in my family having to go to the hospital, this crap is getting real old! Oh well, what do you do. I'm personally going to have a tall Crown and ginger, and going to bed

Dave,

I'm so sorry to hear about these many troubles that have come your way, one upon another. I haven't been keeping up with the Caringbridge journal on Kendall lately, but just before you wrote tonight, for some reason I decided to read it and she's been on my heart since then. I will be sure to pray for her and your family tonight and will try to remember to have the folks in our weekly prayer meeting do the same.

Steve
