Did I read this thing wrong? I thought the floor drains went out the back thru the transom like my center console. The clear ones are definitely not for mounting on the side, only on the transom. I may have assumed too much.I would not put those on the drains for your floor scuppers. They are meant for your thru transom drains on the stern. They will get beat up and clogged sitting on the side of a V where I believe most V's have there outside scupper thru hulls.

He says deck drains not motor well drainThe clear scuppers with the pingpong ball mounted externally work well to eliminate the flow into the boat and are a nice upgrade. The ball acts like a check valve, it lets water out so long as the water level is below the scupper, when the stern dips under the water the ball floats up and seals the hole. These are more durable than they look but do require a bit of maintenance because debris such as sticks and leaves will prevent them from working properly. The maintenance is easy, grip the clear housing on the outside firmly and turn the housing 1/8 turn to remove clean and inspect.
Chances are the boat has some scuppers there already but they aren't working properly.
Thank you RidgeRunner. I considered them but have just one concern. When the side of my boat rubs against the pier, they would break. Those clear scuppers are made of plastic.
I remove mine for the same annoying reason, water on the deck when backing up etc
I then re-routed it to the Bilge area.

Didn't Hammer put some one way CK vales in the line under the deck??
