In the hospital

Well, this sucks. My heart went into atrial fibrulation on Sat. So I've been in the hospital since then. They are going to shock it into normal rythem tomorrow morning. THey say it's a normal proceedure, but it's still a tad scary. :head:

don't worry, it happens to my father all the time. After they get you settled down, they'll teach you a few exercises that will help you control it next time it happens, they also have some meds to help you with it. My father has been dealing with it for over 15 years that I can remember, they've had to shock him four or five times over the years, most of the time, he's been able to deal with it on his own. It hasn't slowed him down any, you'll be OK

you sure it wasn't the pic of the 20 Pursuit with the etec that got your heart thumpin'? It sure got Reels attention

you'll be fine. They will also prob start you on meds to keep it from happening again. There's also other procedures too if it comes back. Yes it is scary and a wake up call. Take good care of that ticker!

DES that is scary **** and no one knows what its like but yourself i hope thet can get it to beat right good luck my friend

i dont know how serious that is but i'm sure it cant be good. i've got my fingers crossed for you and hoping you recover completely.
go get 'em.

My brother had the same procedure about 6 months ago. He was fine immediately after. Scary, but pretty routine. I'm sure you will be fine, good luck.

Good luck with the procedure....like some of the others my MIL had the same procedure a few months back. No big deal at all. You could always bust out your boat battery and give yourself a little shot and see what happens.

the boat batteries won't do it, grab-a-holt of the coil wires on an outboard running around 5000 rpm, that should set your heart right
