i really dig this boat........

VERY heavy built boats, ride decent, but VERY bow heavy. I did some work on one quite a few years back with a FORD 351 in it. Rode decent with the 351, but I repowered it to a CHEVY 350 and it wanted to plow the bow after the swap.

Looks like its in decent shape. For what ever reason, Luhrs got a bit of a bad rap on the Great Lakes, but that was mostly for their diesel power plants.

Luhrs gets a bad rap every where because they are a POS. The new ones look good, but they are junk. Cummins Marine had a pacemaker down here as a test boat, worked nicely with twin 135 hp 1.6L diesels. But make no mistake, that boat was flat bottomed and rode pretty bad. They next few boats Cummins used were 26 Bertrams:love:

Not a 26' with a pair of Cummings, but if I find one of these as a project, I'm going to snag it!

I know where there are 2 25' Bahia Mar's and one 30 Bahia Mar projects sitting.

Theres a 25 BAHIA MAR less than 5 miles from me, and I bet he would sell it cheap as it's been sitting under the trees for over 10 years. But I have no love for the 25 BAHIA MAR myself. Now a flybridge or hardtop on the other hand.
