How much crap can you pile in a rodholder?

Just started playing with this idea and haven't completed one side yet but think I got the main bugs worked out.

Each side is capable of holding 6 rods ranging from Penn 4/0 to Zebco 33 or a combination of various crap up to 7' long.
Hopefully I'll get it completed in the next week or so with a sea trial.

chum, I like your kickplate idea.
Just got to try it out first and see if other modifications are needed.

Intend to screw into the floor (that's why a couple have longer feet) and the interior side rail. They extent to the outer sides to reduce twisting (hopefully).

Done and hopeing for the best.

No real good choices for mounting location, so gonna try this.

It follows the contour of the boat and looks real strange when looking back at it, but when the rods are in it looks like a white man did it (shame I ain't).

If starboard wasn't so expensive you could market and sell those. If I still had my old V I'd be making some of those. Good job.

Cy, check out the Kitty Excluder post ....I think its in modifications, but I could be wrong. He tells what he used...PVC pegboard I think.

Yeah, I ain't started looking where to put the net or gaff as a "get ready" location yet. Just got the stowed portion down.
This is all I got right now.

Looks good!! I don't need rod storage on the new boat, I have a good cuddy and 12 rod holders on the boat, 6 on the hard top, 4 in the gunnels and 2 on the rails.

CB and I are brain storming a new built in tackle box like we did on the V20. not sure on what we are going to do yet?? Might buy some from FP and make some?? But when we get to it I will have pic's
