Hey Airslot.....and mustang guys

dont feel too bad mine is 8 hours away and only get to drive it 2 or 3 times a year when i go home to visit the folks :'(

Dam guys, I'm starting to worry about the manhood of some of my fellow members here. Didn't any of you ever drive a real car. Them bow ties, blue ovals and ponchos are ok for some. You know the type, Barbies and panties in the glovebox. But for me, I want another MOPAR, been keeping my eyes open for 62 thru 66 Plymouth so I can build a Hemi Superstock clone. I'm planning on stuffing a Hemi Crate motor in with a 727 and a Dana. Gonna do a rotisserie resto and build it to the classic style

Well Franco my friend......you'll be pleased to hear that my first car I owned was a '69 Plymouth Road Runner. You sitting down? Powered with the 440 Magnum, 4 speed. My best friend at the time had an uncle that owned a body shop. He took us to the auto auctions. It was an insurance salvage and was deemed a total wreck. Probably because it was only a year and a half old. The damage wasn't that bad. The uncle reassured me that it was very fixable. We put the bid on it and I got it for $1800. Spent about another 6 months fixing everything (all rear end and frame work). Drove the car for almost 2 years then sold it when I went in the Army.
My Dad hated the car. Or so he let me know, but I found out later on that it was my Mom that hated it and he was just relaying what she kept nagging him about. I kind of knew it anyways when I saw him on more than one occasion wiping it down with a rag in the driveway. His eyes also sparkled when I let him drive it. ;)
That car was a beast. Not the fastest of the line, but I'd beat everyone down the line. All top end. 8)

Unlocked Chevy's are considered trash cans here in my part of the woods!!!!!

I was wondering why there is always trash in my 72 Chevy Pickemup.

It is always reciepts from the Ford dealership, apparently the Fords around here need a lot of working on.

hey randleman, that's because we can at least get our fords to carry us to the dealers instead of only getting towed to the dump to unload the trash in them.
