guy walking across the grand canyon!!!!

There's an old saying... "There are no Atheists in foxholes". Roughly translated it means that when you're faced with your own death, all bets are off and you call on God to help you, to save you. I can tell you from personal experience that the saying is 100% true.

I refused to watch it. NOT because of any statements about God, but rather because it was simply a foolish thing to do, and I've never enjoyed watching fools. I refuse to lower myself down to their level.

I'd never want to think that my desire to see a man fall to his death was in any way, even remotely, connected with that persons death. Giving him an audience is a form of encouraging him to do something foolish, and if he had died that would have forever connected me and everyone else to his death by encouraging him. Read my sig at the bottom of this post. God does not hold us blameless.

I have a different view..... This man is no fool any more than Evil Knievel or his son Robby or any other daredevil or stuntman.

He does this for a living, has trained extensively and obviously felt that the risk of death was worth it to achieve a life long dream.... No way would I do what he did but I have risked my life more than once for no gain at all other than a thrill. At least he likely made a few metric sh!t-tons of money

As for the "Jesus crap", when you walk across the grand canyon on live tv in over 200 countries, you can say any sort of "crap" you want. If such language is sooo offensive for anyone at all I suggest that they dispose of any piece of paper or metal that they come across with the words "in God we trust" by sending them to me as I don't find it offensive when someone speaks of their faith as long as they don't push it on others who don't want to hear it.... I assume you had a volume button aye?

It was not offensive, it was the fact he said it 1000 times over and over!!

don't get me wrong it seemed a bit over the top to me too and if he were in my yard chanting I'd chase him off but I sure wouldn't wish him dead for it....... I guess you won't be sending me boxes of money then?????? LOL
